TRANS ASYLIAS urgently needs
Case Management Volunteers for:
-
Review requests for help, schedule calls to discuss their situation, assess if their case is relevant to our work, and if not, direct them to other resources.
Languages needed: Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, and Spanish. -
Each case we take becomes our Protégé and is allocated a case manager who can find the time to regularly speak to the Protégé. Progress on the case is reported to and discussed with directors.
Priority given to volunteers with a background in trauma-informed care, crisis counseling and skills in navigating sensitive conversations. -
▪ Trauma-Informed Care: Volunteers who have training or experience in providing care for individuals in crisis.
▪ Counselors / Therapists: Pro-bono 30-60 mns sessions for our Protégés.
Languages: Arabic, English. -
▪ Account Manager: Volunteer who can manage the socials for TRANS ASYLIAS (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook).
▪ Content Creator: Volunteer with Photoshop / Canva experience. -
Volunteer, ideally with background in PR, to develop relationships with the press and all necessary media tools.

Detail-oriented volunteers who love to spend time on the internet and assist us with:
▪ Knowledge of laws regarding LGBTQI+ discriminations and protections in relevant countries.
▪ Building directory and network of Trans, LGBTQI+, Asylum Seekers organizations worldwide.
▪ Researching small grants and fundraising opportunities. -

Pro-Bono Lawyers, Legal Professionals, Law Students for:
▪ Reporting about immigrations laws.
▪ Working with refugees and asylum seekers.
▪ Securing legal protections for TRANS ASYLIAS, its directors, employees and volunteers.
